check your tail light bulbs they may look ok but there not change them and the fuse

Sounds as if you have a bad bulb if the dash light flashes fast. However make sure that both the front and the rear bulbs are seated properly. If the flasher is still fast replace the bulb or have your service station man do it since he will be supplying the bulb.

Either the bulb is shorted or you have a bad ground.
Most times it is the bulb.

12 volt? examine the instruction manual, i think of the common electrics on an XL185 are 6 volt, wherein case the main glaring answer is to swap the bulbs. edit* easily. 12 volt bulbs won't paintings on a 6 volt gadget.
