How can you say the best all time is Manning and Brady! It is a slap in the face to even consider Brady and Manning for the few years they have played in the NFL. The only ones that think they are great are the ones that are fans of both those overrated teams. They are good because of the team that is around them not because of what they have done by themselves. SB rings don't make a great QB either. Longevity, loyalty, and a leader are what make a great QB just to name a few.

Yes, Favre is one of the greatest to ever play the game of football. He is the last of his era who plays with love and compassion and not the paycheck. Others that were like him were Marino, Elway, and Aikman. Saying Favre needs to go away is an absurd statement. Even the last couple of years he was good but he didn't have the support cast around him that could make plays. This season, the young guys, are more experienced and definitely playing like veterans. Favre has faith in his receivers and it shows.

Right now, in the NFL, Favre is in a class all by himself and no other QB, currently playing, even comes close.

I'm a homer so I don't count but as far as the top 25 td qbs.
Favre ranks 4th in completion pct. Behind Steve Young, Peyton Manning, and Joe Montana.

Actually careerwise Favre has a relatively low interception rate. 3.26pct which is 6th among the top 25 td qbs.
slightly higher than Marino's 3.02 and Elway's 3.12.

As far as TD/INT ratio Favre is 5th with only Young,Montana,Marino and Manning ahead.

so there is my correcting of bad stats.
Factor in that Favre probably played in the most inclement weather out of the top 10 qbs. I go with Favre but could make a case for about 3 or 4 other quarterbacks.

nope. statistically he leads marino but if u look at seasons played favre has about 4 more with like 55 or so more games and it took favre until this and late last year to break his records so obviously he isnt the most prolific. Superbowl wise no either favre has one ring to bradys 3, bradshaws 3, elways 2, and aikmans 2. He is the toughest qb of all time but not greatest. He has a td to int ratio that is the worst ever among qbs in the top 25 in td passes. His completion percentage ranks in the lower half all time. so...no

I think he is one the most overrated QBs ever because people tend to equate longevity with greatness . He's had a few good years in the mid 90s but overall he makes really bad decisions in the pocket. Other than this year, where he has been playing surprisingly well, he has been pretty average over the last 5-6 years.

Yeah, he is a likable guy. He's tough and deserves credit for lasting this long but that does not make him a great QB.

In my opinion, Joe Montana was the greatest.

Brett Favre is definently ONE of the best Qb's of all time. He is absolutly amazing. He has great pocket awareness and despite his lack of dominant foot speed still maanges to get out of many sack situations with his quickness and his knowledge of the pocket. He has a very strong arm, probably the strongest in the league, and is able to fit throws in pockets most Qb's can't make it in, much less try. He makes some of the craziest throws ever and is one of the most fun players to watch. While he is a great QB, sometimes his arm gets him in trouble has he tries passes that get him in trouble and picked off. And sometimes he gets breaks as he throws the ball so hard that defenders can't pick it.

It's hard to say if he is the best or not. With Quarterbacks like Dan Marino, Tom Brady, Joe Montana, John Elway, Roger Staubach, Steve Young, and Peyton Manning he has a lot of competition. I can definently tell you he is top 5.

he is defiantly in the top 5 of 3.
I don't know about #1. But the way he is playing the game, someone could argue he should be the best of all time. I don't even think Favre himself would think he is the best.

Well, if you're measuring him by how many touchdowns he's thrown then he's the king! Unfortunately, he's also the king of interceptions! I would definitely put him up there with the greatest of all time. Along with Montana, Elway, Fouts, Bradshaw, Marino, and Young. But I don't think you can say there is a "best" quarterback.

Favre is great but not the best. There are very few people out there who can ever be the best because there are many different styles in quarterbacking. He is probably the best at the way he quaterbacks, but he isnt the best of all time.
