Yes, and it doesn't have to be "soft" wood...

Just this weekend, we put a cut in a 6" plank of 1" thick white oak, steamed it, and folded it to obtain two 135 degree angles (and a continuous 45 degree triangle).

Clamped it, glued it, and now we have a table-reveal.

If it's a thin, soft wood it can be folded and molded to many shapes. It will need to be soaked first to make it pliable.
