What is your vice - Salty or Sugary?

Thankfully, I'm growing up. It used to be both (I miss Cracker Jack) but my palate has become more attuned to subtlety in food, so I don't miss either one as much, and now find things too salty that I wouldn't have when I was younger.

It's possible that people have different subjective perceptions of the same sensory data. People often bring this up with colors as well. However, we can all agree that certain things taste similar. Anyone who possesses the same basic taste receptors will agree that certain substances taste more alike than others.But it's impossible to tell whether the underlying subjective experience of each sense datum is identical. All we can do is ask different people whether they would agree that this or that sense datum is similar to this or that other one. That is, the degree of similarity between two sense data can be verified from one person to another, but it's impossible to tell if their actual experiences match up. If I had to guess, though, I'd bet that most peoples' subjective experiences of the same things are pretty similar to one another since our brains work in such a similar manner. If they had such profound differences, why should they only exist on a level where we couldn't tell they're there?

Both. I try to eat healthy most of the time but there are times when I cave in and just go for taste. 3 nights ago I ate a package of hot Jimmy Deans sausage, bisquits and gravy and for dessert I had 2 pieces of chocolate cream pie. I washed it down with a coke. Man...it was delish.
