here's what i think
even though evidence of DNA in their rented car and room makes us think about the parents, i think it's very rare for a parent of a child to stand still while deceiving the whole world with true or false tears and words for more than a few months
even the cruelest person couldn't be stable as they lie about their child
they're in all their efforts to find their daughter, which makes it more obvious that they don't have anything to do with it
if they weren't very cooperative, that would mean something, but searching for their child madly and pretending their feelings and thoughts are psychologically impossible, they would probably die out of depression in a couple of weeks
people were made this way
also, there's a witness that has seen a man taking a sprawled child
if there is even a smallest chance of them being suspects, i don't know how they have managed wear a face of a human being with all this well-made out acting and metal-like mind

↑ Mossy Jan's answer above is typical of people who post without knowing what they are talking about. the parents have been all over the world searching and spreading the word through media, flyers, etc.

Gerry McCann did NOT, I repeat NOT, go play tennis after Maddie was missing. He played tennis earlier in the day BEFORE she was missing.

There's so much bull and speculation that it's just a crying shame.

Like you said, if they did it or had anything to do with it, they sure would not be so available to the public.

We should wait and see what develops before we make judgments. I don't believe the McCanns are involved, but the issue of "neglect" is so foremost in people's minds that they are determined to prove their guilt. It seems impossible for some to separate the two "crimes" - in their eyes, people who are capable of leaving their children sleeping in their beds nearby, must be capable of murder.
As for the poster above who commented on Kate McCanns refusal to have a lie detector test, she said she would have one if asked to do so by the police. The police have never asked her to take a test. And I don't blame her - we don't have them in a court of law, I wouldn't take a chance on some blip making me look guilty when I'm not.

Oh, yes, but Kate did refuse a lie detector test. Here is a link to the article.

If the parent's didn't have anything to do with it, then why is Kate refusing to take a lie detector test? At least that would help sway peoples support in her direction more, if she passed it. If I was accused of such a horrid crime, and if I was innocent, I would be doing everything I could to prove it, and clear my name. Why doesn't Kate do the same, unless, she is trying to hide something?
