the slope is 2
therefore you can write
y=2x+b

then substitude your coordinates in to find b ( y-intercept )
y=2x+b
-12=2(-2)+b
-12= -4 +b
-12 + 4 = b
-8 = b

so, now that we have both, the equation of the line is
y=2x + -8
except you dont say + -, you just put -
therefore, it is y = 2x - 8

make sense?

Even better, use the point-slope formula:

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

where (x1, y1) is the point and "m" the slope.

plug it in and you get

y+12 = 2(x+2)
y+12 = 2x +4
y = 2x - 8

y=2x+b
-12=2(-2)+-8
there, that should do it!
