Its about time some coach got burned when trying to ice the kicker at the last minute. Its stupid just call the time out and quit playing little kids games

Yeah that's the risk you take when trying to ice the kicker. I know Shanahan probably kicked himself for that, but nonetheless he should still be thankful for the fact that the receiver dropped the pass that would have surely been a TD.

Time outs on field goals are stupid anyway. A kicker knows well before hand if he might need to make a game-winning kick and has plenty of time to get his nerves jumpin. Also, if he gets a kick off right at the whistle, you just gave him a practice kick. Now he's got a feel for the distance he needs and the angle. Quit wasting our time and let them kick the dang field goal.
