ok, I'm going to do this 2 ways, since I can't tell if r is under the square root or not.

First way (R is not under the square root) : A= pi(square root sign)w/r

1. multiply by r: ar=pi(square root sign)w
2. divide by pi:ar/pi=(square root sign)w
3. square both sides: (ar/pi)^2 = w

Second way (r is under the square root symbol):
A= pi(square root sign)(w/r)
1. divide by pi : A/pi=(square root sign)(w/r)
2. square both sides: (a/pi)^2= w/r
3. multiply by r: r x (a/pi)^2 = w

hope this helps. If not, see your teacher for help or tutorials.

A=pisprt(w/r)
A/pi=sqrt(w/r)
(A/pi)^2=w/r
r((A/pi)^2)=w
