Take off the counter top (disconnect the plumbing) leave the faucet and handles in place. Glue and nail 1 x 2 wood to the top of the cabinet (if its oak, use oak and stain the wood to match, or paint it the same color as the vanity). Reinstall the counter top with glue and a couple of screws from inside the cabinet going up. Be sure to use the right length screws so it dont go through the top. Reinstall the plumbing, pipe and supply lines will be long enough. It's easy.

Two ways to raise the vanity. The first is to disconnect the plumbing, make sure the splash board against the wall is severed from the wall by using a putty knife to cut the sealant. Then raise the vanity and cabinet off the floor and put supports under it.

Make the supports the same thickness as the height you want to raise the vanity. Make sure the supports sit under the edges of the vanity cabinet that would normally sit on the floor so the vanity is supported firmly.

Put a piece of trim along the kick board in the front to conceal the support. Get an extension tube for the drain, and possibly new risers for the water service. Place clear silicone sealant around the splash board to seal it against the wall and you are done.

The other way is to remove the vanity and cabinet, and replace the cabinet with a taller one, or this may be the time to get a nicer vanity that matches your color preferences.

You'll have to higher a plumber. If you raise your sink and vanity you are going to have to change your pipes under the sink and that's a big job. Raising you vanity can be done with blocks of wood under it. Then you can put baseboard molding around the vanity to hide the blocks.

I would build a small platform the size you want for additional height. This also curtails extending the hot and cold water pipes. If they have the flexible lines you are in luck, just get longer ones, soldered line need longer piping. The drain shouldn't be a problem just add a longer tail piece from the drain on the sink to the drain line> So now you can stand tall and enjoy

you'll have to remove it then, either buy a taller one or put shims under this one.
