Girls get their periods at different ages. The norm these days is more around 10 or 11, not 15 or 16 as it was in the past. But there is nothing wrong with you for not having it yet. Do you have other signs of puberty? (Hair growing, discharge, etc) If so, chances are it's coming soon and there is nothing wrong with you. So, don't worry. Some girls don't get it until their late teens. You are still young and it will come when it's ready.

Hi, no you are not weird at all...
I too have a cousin who started her cycle at 10 and then I've also had cousins start at 13/14 and even a friend start at 15. I started right before I turned 13. Good luck and don't worry : )

This is the time girls just start puberty. Don't worry. It will come. If you haven't gotten around age 16 or 17 then see your doctor. Don't be worried. Everyone is different and will go through these things at different times. Relax and be happy it hasn't come yet! You will have it for a very long time.

It is different for every person. I have heard you usually start when you become 100 pounds. I started a little after that. I had my first period when I was thirteen, then only thirteen months later did I have my second period. It differs from every person. I am really active in ballet and cross country, and I also was diagnosed with diabetes, so I'm a different case. My mom started when she was 9. My friend when she was 15. It really depends on who you are.

You have NOTHING to worry about at all!!! 10 is actually early to start. I started when I was 12 and I know someone who didn't start until they were 14. My big sis started really early (9) so it just depends on the person. Enjoy not having a cycle for now!!

The average age for females to start their periods is 12. But the timing is usually genetic. Talk to women in your family to find out how old they were when they started, and you'll know pretty much when yours should start. It could be 12, 13, or even 14.

don't worry about it! the average is about early teens like 13 or 14. you're body is still developing. trust me you don't want to rush your period. be thankful for the time that you DON'T have it! Lol. it's not abnormal at all. i started mine when i was almost 14.
oh and if you're active (small, petite, does a lot of sports) most of the time, those kinds of girls get it later in life. that's normal too. just relax and don't worry about it. you're absolutely 100% normal

Relax. Most women start between 9 thru 16. If you haven't gotten it by 16 then it would be time to see a doctor.
Your hormones control when your period will begin so there isn't much you can do. Enjoy the time you have without it.

I think 10 and 11 is really early to get your period. I know girls are developing faster than they used to but that still sounds really young to me. I got mine when I was 15 a full year after my sister who is two years younger than me. Don't worry it'll happen when it's supposed to. And when it does you'll see there was no fuss about it and you'll spend the next 40 years wishing you could get rid of it.

You are normal, don't worry that you don't have your periods yet. Once you have them, you'll be wondering why you were looking forward to them. If you haven't started by 16 then you may need to see a doctor and check your hormone levels out. Be patient and don't grow up so fast.
