Look at that sight is shows the devlopment of genitals at 10 weeks etc ,,,,,,,,,,,, both genders have what appears to look like a penis but its actually just a external tube thats either forming into a penis or a vagina so its impossible to tell by ultrasound at this stage ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, although the angle of the tube is meant to mean either male or female

First off, it's WAY too early to tell. Second, let me tell you my experience....
My husband and I had an inkling (as all parents do) that we were expecting a son. At my 14 week ultrasound, the doctor said she was "pretty sure" the baby was going to be a little boy. For a while we thought our suspicions were confirmed, until I went for another ultrasound at 25 weeks...and we found out it was a girl! We weren't disappointed in the least, but "shocked" would be an adequate description for our reaction! It took a week or so to remember to say "she" instead of "he," but like you, we couldn't be more thrilled. The best thing is that she is healthy!!
And, to back this up, the same thing happened to my brother when he and his girlfriend were expecting...it was a totally different doctor they saw. They were told early on it looked like a little boy, only to find out some weeks later they were expecting a daughter.
So, you've got another couple of months or so before you'll be able to tell "for sure." Most gender determination scans don't take place before 17 weeks. Until then, have fun guessing!
Best of luck and congrats!!!

At 10 weeks the external genitalia has not differentiated to form a penis or labia yet, and it looks exactly the same whether it's a boy or a girl. It doesn't start to look different until about week 12, and you can't reliably tell the gender via ultrasound until about week 15 or 16.

Did the sonographer say anything about it possibly being a penis? At my 12 week ultrasound, we saw something similar to your pic, but they said it was still too early to be certain. I was also told that sometimes the cord can look like a penis. Congrats and good luck!

10 weeks is too early to tell the sex. The baby is still very small. You can tell the sex between 18 and 20 weeks by ultrasound. I'm having mine done in 2 weeks and can't wait.

The baby's sex organs have not developed yet. The soonest they can tell is maybe 16 weeks, but usually 18-20. Also, I think they look for testicles, not the penis.

Haha..it does kind of look like a penis, but at that early it's too hard to tell, it could be something else entirely.

I think it's to early to tell. Then again, I'm no expert when it comes to looking at an ultrasound pic.
