It was GREAT... the best years of my life were at College.
It IS worth it - you get better jobs, you get more respect, and if you happen to be applying for a job where your interviewer is from the same college - you get a better chance for the job.
I studied mathematics & particle phyics. But one of the better courses I took was a philosophy & management course... go figure.
It took me 5 years, but I switched from Electrical Engineering to Math & Physics about 1/2 way through my 2nd year.
I *highly* encourage college - the friends you meet there will stay friends for a long time. I'd recommend the dorms, too - despite being trapped in a small room with a stranger - it IS a blast. And don't be afraid of the Sorority/Fraternity system, either - all those parts of college are fun, but they can HELP you, too.

I went for 4 1/2 years and I got a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. It was TOTALLY worth it.
The tough part is applying for student loans and grants, scholarships and all.. and then Working a full time job while going to school full time.
My advice to anyone about to go to college is figure out some way that you can work as little as possible so that you can focus on school as much as you can, becuase it's time consuming!!!
You should absolutely go if you're thinking about it.

I went to a community college and then a University after I recieved my A.A. I am still in the University working on my B.A. I believe it is worth it. I am so proud of myself that I went far in life and went to secondary school. It feels sooo good to say that yes I did do/earn something after high school. =) It makes me feel like a more complete person--plus, I've learned a lot, not just informational knowledge but I've learned a lot about myself as well. Going to college I've also made lots of friends.

it is great, i am a doctor.
I spent a little more than 8 years on it.
But it was well worth it.
What 's better than helping people in need, or preventing someone from losing their life?
It was fun, more relaxed than high school. I had to take a hard MCAT test at the end of the first four years, though.
At med school, it was obviously harder, but i miss it all.

Grad school was more serious than undergrad. My B.A. is in psych. and I have an M.B.A. It was well worth it.
Also - B.A. - 4 years
M.B.A. - 3 years because I was part-time and had to take pre-reqs.
