The school cafeteria sold 300 hamburgers on Wednesday. The hamburgers are made with cheese, lettuce, and bacon. 45 of the hamburgers had cheese, lettuce, and bacon. 65 had bacon and lettuce. 80 hamburgers had cheese and lettuce and 100 had bacon and cheese. 60 hamburgers had just bacon and 85 hamburgers did not have cheese. How many hamburgers had just cheese on them?

Kay. First.

45+65+80+100+60+85=435. Ok, if you sold 300 hamburgers, this makes no sense, because 435, is more than 300.

Seconde, This is your work, but I dont care.

Third. You ither wroate something wrong, or this is just a stupid question to make people think.

If you add more info, i will help you more (by editing my answer)

So keep checking my answer.

300 - 45 - 65 - 80 - 100 - 60 - 85 = 5 cheeseburgers

You need to use a Venn diagram. Those are the interecting circles. Label them cheese, bacon, lettuce. Then where they overlap put in the numbers you have. Each whole circle should add up to 300. I get 75 but I want you to try and get the answer.

we don't know,
because
you said 300 were SOLD Wednesday.

you asked how many hamburgers had just cheese..
not how many burgers w/ just cheese were SOLD.

therefore, we don't know.

BUT...
i'm guessing none,
because i don't think anyone
likes hamburgers with just cheese.

0, it just doesnt add up, if u go through the problem again, and basicall just add up every number except 300, then subtract from 300 your sum will be over 300. i hope this helped!!!!=)
