I have wanted to be an author since I was very young. Although I heard about an author who started writting at 14!!!! (AND I'M AROUND THAT AGE!)Then there's this girl in my class who has writing a story AND IT'S ABOUT 30 PAGES AND SHE'S STILL WORKING ON IT!

Do you think I should get on the ball and work more on my stories or something?
Am I working on this the age I should?
What do I do?

Write when you can. Develop your own style, and always look for an innovative, original, and captivating idea.

Edit a lot, and find the flaws in your writing. Learn the rules of writing, then break them.

Keep a little notebook full of ideas.

If you want to be a writer then get started now. There are no limitations as to age when writing should begin.

Find the booklet, "The Elements of Style" by Strunk and White and thoroughly read it, highlighting key areas you should concentrate upon. Keep it by your pad or keyboard and reference it as you write.

What other "something" are you referring to that you mentioned in your sentence, "Do you think I should get on the ball and work more on my stories or something?"

If you are unsure on what topic to begin with in writing, choose an event in your life and write it as it refers to you or take it, build fictional characters, and pursue avenues least expected or paths you didn't use.

You have time so dont stress.
If you think of something go for it, but if not dont struggle.
You can write but you might not be able to publish yet.
Take your time, dont work to hard, and most importantly write for fun.

okay. for one. go for it.
it takes people YEARS to write books.
not just a few/weeks/months.

then you have to get it. it published.
soooo i say go for it.
write a book.
or maybe just short storys.

make sure your friends like them.
or at least people your age. because
if they dont.

then nobody will read them
good luck.
