I would seek a second opinion form a paediatrician. Sometimes adult doctors are not up on what's "normal" for infants.
She may just be fair-skinned and you could be worrying too much ... I was a big worry-wart with my first baby .. .still am :)
If she's eatingfeeding well and her urine and poop is normal then I think that you would have to wait until you see the second doctor on Friday as to whether or not there is something wrong or it's just her skin tone.
Why not take her to a walk-in clinic before Friday to ease your mind?
Good luck with everything ... being a mother is tough. Don't let them make you feel badly about worrying ... it's what we're supposed to do :)

If she is eating solids, and you are breast feeding, then she should be fine. Some people do not have alot of color. Put her in front of a window and let the sun shine on her for a short time. That might help give her some vitamin d.

It could very well be her complexion. She could be fair skinned. Does she have blonde hair or is a red head. Also its almost winter and not being in the sun makes people look pale without a little color from the sun. I wouldnt worry about it.

I am very pale and therefore so is my baby. What is your skin tone? Is that because of genetics or sun (or tanning booth) exposure? Remember babies are paler than you or I we have had years of sun exposure/damage their skin is still fresh and clean from that damage! if you pinch the skin does it go immediately back into place? What about her cheeks are they slightly rosy? If you press on the skin does it turn white and then go back to the original color? These are all easy to see on "pale" kids, don't worry, some of us are just pale (just check any of my skin matching makeup it's all labeled pale!)

My daughter is 1/4 Japanese and 3/4 Italian, Irish, German, etc. She was born with olive skin but eventually became very, very white. It was amazing. She was healthy. Do your daughter's cheeks look pink? If so, then don't worry. My daughter is now 2 1/2 and have beautiful skin. She was very, very tan this summer but it has since faded. I loved her skin no matter what shade it was that month. Don't worry.

It's hard to say, but if you are worried and have noticed a change in her condition, you are the mother and you should take her to the hospital emergency room. It sounds like you are saying that this is a condition that has just developed if she is 9 mos. Don't wait until friday if you are afraid she needs help now. Trust your instincts as a mother.

hi there. I too have a 9 month old daughter, and once in a while she looks pale.
my husband pointed that out the other day.
I think it's because the weather is getting cooler and they are getting less sun exposure.
