The doctor said its a "possibility" that I'm having twins because my hormonal level was high and he think that he may have seen another dot when I took my transvaginal ultrasound. My sonogram is the 29th and the doctor said i wont no for sure until then, but im going crazy. Lol. But if I'm not having twins, is gaining that much weight normal?

Also I don't think I have been eating a lot.

Retaining water and bloating can be a factor. I once gained 8 pounds in a few days because I was retaining water. I lost the weight in 5 days, it was just water.

they can't really say what nornal weight gain for pregnancy. It all depends on how your body deals with pregancy. I weighed 115 b4 i got pregnant. when I went into labor I weighed almost 200 lbs! My doctor said that it was normal for me. I didn't have any problems at all through out my pregnancy and now that my son is 10 months old I've went all the way back down to my normal size. so If your eating right and doing your modarate excerise...i wouldn't worry about it.

Hollistergal--that was extremely rude and inconsiderate.

If the doctor thinks you might be having twins then there is a chance. My doctor thought I was having twins, but there is only one there, so who knows! I gained 5 pounds in 4 weeks and my doctor wasn't concerned so that sounds okay to me. Good luck!!

If your hormone level is high and doc. thinks he saw another dot, then you are most likely having twins, but the weight gain is also normal for a regular pregnancy, I gained the same and had a 9lb kid.

Everyone differs! I only have 1 week to go and i have only gained 6 pounds through my entire pregnancy, where as my best friend gained over 50! As long as the baby is healthy and you feel fine then pregnancy is the best excuse for getting all chubby and flabby!! Enjoy it and good luck with the impending arrival! :)
