72 / 2 = 36
36 / 2 = 18
18 / 2 = 9
9 / 3 = 3
3 / 3 = 1

The prime factorization would be the list of divisors above:
2 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 3

This should be 2^3 x 3^2

The error is in the last exponent which should be 2, not 3.
