Hi there, The first problem is the youngness of the girl. A girl at 17 is still maturing and will do so into her early 20's and will change her views over those years as she does mature. There is nothing wrong in "liking" the 37 year old or even dating him - it is what eventuates from the relationship. l would suggest that sex should be off the cards until the girl is in her 20's and by then she may have changed her mind. But that ain't gonna happen because the man will probably want sex and that actually may be all he wants - for the difference in maturity levels is rather wide. Of course the girl may have a 'father' complex and like older men but 20 years is not the greatest problem BUT her age. Also don;t forget that when she is 25 he is 45 - and when she is 40 he will be 60. I know some will disagree especially the young people reading this but men can be pretty active and 'with it' into their late 60's (can't speak for anyone over that age).there are a few examples of this age difference - look at Michael Douglass and Zeta Jones, Woody Allen and ?, and they are just the celebrities we know about. Regards o you and go slowly with the relationship if you are the 17 year old Mike D Edted - Wow I just read X1Rannax's comments - what a negative picture she paints - As regards age of consent - I thought that was 16 but that may be different where you live. 140112 PS I just googled legal age of consent and the States are all over the place from 16 to 18 so check what is applicable in your state - how pathetic that your nation can't be consistent - there should be a national standard and that should be publicised so there is no confusion.

Calm down,Dear, don't want that rhumatizz to flare up and give you the vapors. That's it,have yourself a nice sit-down,and drink your' tea,and just gently rock front-to-back,as you contemplate the way things used to be,back when those arrogant carriages were horse-drawn,and the nice milk-man actually delivered the milk.
For Dog's sake, how could you validate a pre-adolescent piece of idiom that seriously?!?37 is a GREAT age,old enough to have MAYBE learned enough not to be an a**hole, but still young enough to[fingers crossed]still look okay!Mid-to-late 30s is the time that you start to lose your'needless inhibitions,NOT the good ones, the needless ones. You start to realize that NO ONE is keeping a really close score, and if you want to,you can stop following tiresome trends(because you are what you are),You are just as comfortable IN or OUT of the proverbial loop, you can deviate from 'normal' behavior with almost the same freedom as a teen,so long as you're obligations are fulfilled.37 is old enough to have a decent ammount of history to look back on,but there's still plenty of pages in front of you.You can remember your' "prime",while still nubile and flexible enough to add to it.

Yer gettin' there in 4 years,Kiddo?I turned 37 last April.Wanna do Burning Man in 2011?You bring the body paint and bottled water,I'll bring the brushes and beer.Sound like a date?:)

I remember when I was a little girl, there were some people talking about the millennium approaching and that the world would come to an end in the year 2000. It scared me until I did the math and discovered that I would be 40 in the year 2000, and that I would be so old by then that I just wouldn't care if the world came to an end!

Well, hmmmm. In 10 days i will be 37 and i do not feel "old." Nope. Most days i feel about 22. Of course there are some days that i feel more like, oh...78. But those are few and far between. When i was a kid, i would have thought myself to be old at my current age. Ha ha...was i WRONG!!! Best wishes!!

LOL! That is funny! I remember when I was at the tender age of 14....I considered my dad to be old and he was at the ripe ol' age of...35.

I'm now 39 and a proud grandmother of a 4 month old baby girl.

Surely I'm an old fossil by now, lol!

lol- 2nd graders, huh? eh, let em believe it.

It's all relative; when I was around 12, I used to think 17-19 was SO old, mature &'scary'!

When you're 47, you'll wish for 37 again.

To an 80 year old, 37 is Nothing!

37 is not old. 73 is.

Don't listen to what society dictates. If you're young at heart, in body and soul, any age before 70 is an opportunity to live life to the fullest.
