Oats - 6 months
Wheat - 9 months (or later if history of allergy)
Grits... is that made from corn? If so - 12 months

I didn't start oatmeal until 9 months since my daughter loved the rice cereal so much. She's never had cream of wheat or grits but I would think around 9 months would be okay.

I never gave my daughter baby cereal. She had regular oatmeal when she was 6 months old.
