To see if there is blood for blowing their noses too hard. And to determine the color of their snot/phlegm. White means allergy while greenish means the cold virus. Kinda gross but true I guess (LOL!!!)

When your nose is stuffed up you blow it and look
to see what was teasing you.the nose is a air
passage to the lungs as is your mouth,but your
nose expels any for gin items that the lungs know
shouldn't be there.
