i recently bought a nice fleece hoody its very light and its so soft
like the material is great and it smells like clothes from the store, you know that smell? anyways how do i keep it like this because in the past my mom would wash it in the machine and it would be really different

Yes, washing puts most of the wear on clothing. I don't think you can keep the smell after washing, but you can cut down on wear by not putting the item in the dryer.

Try wrapping them in bags and storing them in air tite containers and don't wear them at all. I bought a 1958 Chevrolet brand new and stored it in an air tite garage to keep the fresh "NEW" smell and never drove it. Sure smells good

use vinegar in the wash to keep the color and use liquid fabric softener in the rinse to keep it feeling new. You can choose the scent you like best.
