I'd be surprised since Karl Rove was a major reason why McCain was defeated by Bush as the Republican nominee in 2000. He planted some very deragatory stories about McCain especially in the south where he was already vulnerable. That's why people are disappointed in McCain now because he used to stand up to those people and now he is one of them.

Wasn't it Rove that put out the inisidious push polling about McCain fathering an illegitimate black kid? I guess it worked but I would have thought McCain had too much integrity to follow anything that lowlife came up with.

I love it when people like Cognitive Correction believe the neo-cons blew 2006 by not being right wing enough.
It was this sort of denial that lost you 2006 and it is just making 2008 soooo easy.

He sure does. Better be careful what you say 'cause Karl Rove is here ... he's the one with the blond curls and glasses.

Karl Rove wasn't running for office, and the Republicans lost because they became "democrat lite"...growing government entitlement programs...just not spending as much as the dems would.
