a plunger won't work on a double sink and draino is not good for anything. if your sink is typical it is on an exterior wall with a window above it. outside there will be a clean out. unscrew it and use a garden hose to clear it. shove it in till it drains with the water on full blast. to avoid this in the future, never use hot water with a garbage disposal.cold water only, it isolates the grease so it doesn't glob up and grab all the junk you are letting go down your drain.

If you don't have a pipe wrench to take it apart underneath the sink, try a plunger.... sometimes that works, after you get the clog out be sure to run HOT water down the drain on both sides about once a week for a few minutes, that helps dissolve and flush the crud out,,, also hydrogen peroxide may do the trick too, or coca cola.. good luck

You most likely have a plug in the p-trap beneath the sink as both wells most likely drain through a single p-trap. If you can get into the cabinet beneath the sink. place a bucket under the trap and remove it. The nuts are compression rings. A pair of water pump pliers is the best to loosen the rings if you cannot do it by hand. Be careful and do not damage the pipes nor the compression rings. After clearing put it back together, tightening the ring nuts by hand. Leaving the bucket under the trap turn the water back on and watch for leaks.
Go for it. Smile

Toilet plunger is the best choice to start with. If you can run a garden hose into the house, say through a window, that could work too. Just spray a strong stream of water into each drain and it should be strong enough to push through.

Dip the water out of the sink on both sides, I hope you have vinegar, and baking soda. Pour the baking soda down both drains, then pour 1 cup of vinegar down both. It will act like a volcano and erupt, but will work down into the drain. Let it work for at least 1 hour, then plunge and run hot water down drains.
