Okay the morning after pill (Emergency Contraceptive) can be taken 72 hours after unprotected sex.

The medical abortion pill (RU 486 aka Mifeprex) can be taken 5 weeks to 7 weeks after the missed period.

go to planned parenthood's website for information on both pills they are different and people mix them up - --

it's way too late to get the "morning after" pill (AKA plan B). That has to be taken within three days of sex. Did you have protected sex or use any form of birth control? Go to the drug store and buy a drug test to find out.

Plan B is not the same as RU486. Plan B prevents pregnancy and implantation, RU486 induces an abortion. If you are pregnant go to the doctor and discuss your options. If you chose to take RU486 do your research and discuss all the options.

Good luck and be safe.

Yes, it's called RU486 but go to the doctor for this. BTW, if you really are pregnant, that would be an abortion not a prevention of pregnancy.
