/ is the fraction devider like 1/10 is 1 over 10
sqrt is SquareRoot EX: sqrt -4 is The squareroot of -4

....................................................................................
Solve the quadratic equation by factoring.

1. 4x^2 - 25 = 0

2. -9x^2 + 12x - 4 = 0

3. 6 = x^2 - x
.......................................................................
Simplify the expression.

4. i + 3 + sqrt -4

5. (-5 - 8i) - (-4 - 8i)

6. 2+i/2-i (That's 2 + i over 2- i)
...........................................................................................................
Use the quadratic formula to solve the equation.

7. x^2 - 3x = -5

1, (2x+5)(2x-5)
2, (-3x-2 )(3x+2)
3, x = 3
4, 3(i + 1)
... aren't you failing by not doing them?
... shouldn't you fail if you cant do them?
... am *I* going to pass yoru class??
5, -1
6, 2+i/2-i
7 & 8: the quadratic formula is a VERY easy process to follow
for 7 use the equation: x^2 -3x +5 = 0
for 8 us the equation: 2x^2 -8x +16 = 0
... if you cannot use the quadratic equation and substitute abc values then you really should probably repeat the class.
