The Palestine situation is not the fault of British imperialism. The mandate to "govern" Palestine fell to the British after the war, they did not seek it. It was the United nations that created the state of Israel, not Britain.

Many appaling mistakes - even crimes - can be laid at the door of the British Empire - but not this one.

U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand are direct effects of British imperialism; without British colonization of the Americas and Australasia, they would not exist.

The fact that English is commonly spoken in many regions of the world, from South of Africa to South of Asia is another effect.

The fact that there is Black population in the Americas (including the Caribbean) is yet another effect (although the French and the Portuguese contributed, too).
