Hey everyone,

I want to defrag my computer but everytime I try it keeps saying that I have a volume control issue and to run this program ( chkdsk/f. ) . I tried to run this but it does nothing. Has anyone ever come across this or can anyone give me some pointers about this?

If your hd is almost full it happens this way. Go into safe mode and have it defrag. If you have an older windows computer go into dos and give the dos command to defrag on the drive you want to defrag.

Easy as one two three. On your tool bar, double click on the monitors, you know the little TV screens that show. A screen will come up and you click on exit, this will take you off line. Next click on start, go to programs, tools and defrag, a screen will appear and click on defrag. It will take from 10 minutes to several hours depending on the program used. .

An easier way is to double-click 'My Computer' and then right-click 'C:\' drive...click on 'Properties' and select 'Tools' tab..defragment from there.

Hope this helps.
