Elvis' publicist deemed him the King, but who has been rocking the world with new formats, more hits, and high energy for the longest?
The Stones were formed in 1962. In 1989 the Rolling Stones were inducted into the American Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2004 they were ranked number 4 in Rolling Stone magazine's 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
They have put out 55 albums (all original work), and their 2005 Tour (A Bigger Bang) was their highest grossing ever.
The Stones have sold more than 200 Million albums worldwide. In my book, this makes Mick and the Stones, the undisputed Kings of Rock and Roll.
