Just yesterday my grandkids gave me hugs and kisses and they said they loved me.Who needs more validation than that.My employer also says thanks for my help at the end of each day.

Not very often Bex I must admit. Get taken far to much for granted but then maybe that's because I make a road for my own back. Did get a well done Sunday when I actually managed to dish up a completely edible roast dinner (you know me and my cooking skills or rather lack of them !!

I think so,I think some people will try and take advantage but Iam quick to let them know Iam no fool lol.I haven't had a pat on the back in ages.

i think everyone feels like that ? under appreciated that's a fact of life some times you have to pat yourself on the back why is that how you are feeling?

I feel it has been a while....I don't think I can remember the last time someone said that to me....although I suppose it does happen sometimes. I suppose if I spent more time actually helping other people, I might feel more appreciated.

At work, it's been so long that I can't even remember it happening. If no one's yelling at you, you're supposed to assume you're doing well.
It's kind of a shame too, since most people seem to thrive on positive feedback.

My hubby...oops, I mean husband (for all those thinking it's degrading terminology) always thanks me for looking after the kids and doing housework, etc. He doesn't pat me on the back, though....some friends compliment me on things....my kids say "i love you". It's always nice to have verbal confirmation, but should not get hung up on it.
