Yes. The lower the IQ, the more likely the person is to report someone for no good reason.

Sometimes some things deserve to be reported but for the most part and from what I see, it's because of intolerance and immaturity.
I've had my share of posts reported. I vent by sending yahoo answers an email and when they respond with some lame answer, I again reply letting them know they just don't get it and they are ignorant for allowing intolerant people to have control over this.
I've seen some horrible questions or answers that are either distasteful, rude or not what I believe and of course they get a thumbs down. Some people need that control and a thumbs down isn't enough for them.

Knock on wood, I haven't been reported - yet. Some people can't handle an answer that doesn't suit them. I wouldn't doubt it if it's some of the same ones that keep throwing the 1st Amendment as a defense in their answers. I have an idea for those people. If you don't like the question, ignore it and move on. If you don't like an answer, oh F'n well. My opinion and I don't care. I may not like an answer someone gives but I won't report them because of it. For real fun and adventure, answer a question in the R&S section. LOL!

Some might argue that it is also ridiculous to post a rant in a question about reporters.
But yes, reporting just because you have a different opinion from the one you are reporting is just childish. Reporting is only acceptable when someone actually breaks the rules.

If somebody abuses the report button, appeal it to Yahoo, as that will make their reports practically useless in the future.

Anyone that uses the report button does not support America or our guarenteed right to free speech.
Usually weak minded people who can not except opposing views

I agree with you. So all you whining liberals stop the abuse of reporting us. (JK) I know I can take this over the top but some people take this area of yahoo to the extreme. I mean come on, it isn't like politicians are going to read these and take our advice.

There's something about the internet -- whether it be Yahoo Answers, chat rooms, or message boards -- that really pulls for people's anger and/or aggression. I think that the anonymity of the internet allows people to act in ways that they wouldn't normally act.

It is called "insecurity" some people just can't handle the fact that their ideas of what is right or wrong are being questioned by others.
