No, it is all crap. However, if the other person believes in it, something might happen but it is all the power of suggestion. Only the gullible believe. Sorry if you believe and believe me, I don't want to upset you, especially after the stories I heard. LOL.
EDIT:
I just saw all the thumbs down from idiots who believe in spells and magic. Bunch of fools. If spells really worked, then why are so many people alive today who do not believe? Bunch of morons. The only real magic is true love and the power of God.

Yes and no.
Spells are unlikely to work if a) they harm someone or b) they try to interfere with a persons free will.
On the other hand, they will work if that person is open to having a spell put on them.
But what really counts in your question, I think, is how you define spell.
If you mean a big, elaborate, crazy ritual to make stuff happen, then I'd have to say that, no, the spell won't work.
If you mean a neat, intentful ritual designed to help influence future events alongside other non-magical actions then yes, it probably will work.

I'm not sure but try asking people of the Wicca religion ^^. They practice magick and I cannot help you with anything about Wicca because I am not a member. However, there should be some chat room or something on aim. ^^ Hope that helped! Ah and I forget who said it but whoever said the threefold law is correct! =] Well.. that's what Wiccans say! =)
(Threefold law is like if you do some bad magick on someone it comes back at you three times worse and if you do something good to someone else then something good comes back to you three times better. Its something like that)

There's this girl I know who can light candles and stuff with her mind. I know it's sounds retarded but it's true. I saw it. No strings attached.
And a diff friend believes very strongly in that sort of stuff. He 'cast a spell' on this girl he didn't like and a week later she broke her ankle.
He felt bad. =] No lie.
So if that stuff is true, why not?

you can go with the wand and book of spells method but im sure you must be educated in that field for the spells to become effective. they should have one in Salem, Massachusetts. you can major in witchcraft and minor in sorcery. or you can go practical by putting a love spell on that special someone using only your charm and wit.
