i personally give it to mine daily. The reason it prevents fleas is because, although you can't smell it, a flea being so close to the skin can't stand the smell or taste when they bite and leave as quick as they arrive. not only that but they also give your babies such a beautiful coat of fur...

Hi there...actually garlic causes to damage red blood cells and cause anemia in pet animals and should be avoided. This is more dangerous in cats than dogs, but still toxic over time.
Here's an educational website which list of all the ingredients which are toxic to pet animals and why (including garlic): http://www.peteducation.com:80/article.cfm?cls=0&cat=1276&articleid=1029
Flea and tick prevention ideally is best managed with veterinary approved products such as Frontline, Advantage and/or Revolution. Most over the counter (OTC) flea prevention products can be toxic and fatal. Here's a website more on the OTC flea products: http://www.hartzvictims.org/index.php

No, it isn't good. Fleas are not your regular insect that are warded off by any old herb, they're tough and they need killing! They also have a complex lifecycle - garlic is not going to kill unhatched eggs, or larvae.
I suggest you get some Frontline, Revolution or Advantage from a vets if you're actually interested in preventing fleas.

Yes, that's true. It works for fleas, anyway. Don't know about ticks. Put it in their food fresh, sautees, or give it to them in tablets.
