Pornography is entertainment. It is entertainment with sex. Some people enjoy it others find it a sin or perverted. As long as the actors (and that is what these people are) are willing partners. Meaning no one has been forced, drugged, kidnapped into the sex trade etc. Then I see no problem with making it. As for viewing it. I have no problems with viewing it either, I have watched it before both by myself and with my husband. It can be an enhancer in the bedroom, it can be educating and it can be good for your marriage. I only see a problem when a person becomes addictive to watching it. When pornography takes the palce of your relationship you have a problem. When you rather watch a movie and pleasure your self then be with your family, spouse etc, ( I don't mean just once in a while) then you have a problem, As for couples not agreeing on it. I think that couples that have issues with it didn't take the time to get to know one another before commiting to eachother. Or they committed to one another while thinking once we are married etc I can change him/her. As for young americans portraying sex any differently no. I think teenagers don't even watch it or have viewed it sparingly. Teenagers are viewing sex as a game. Not all teenagers but some. They feel that sex makes them more adult like. Young Americans (over 20) I don't know if they are into it as much as the 30 and 40 year olds. Most pornography that is being viewed is being viewed by adults over the age of 30 and under the age of 55. They are viewing for many different reasons. Not getting sexual pleasure at home. ( I find it better for a man or woman to pleasure themselves with some visual aid on the tv than to go out and have an affair), divorced and not sure about the dating scene. Or to spice up their marriage. Like most things moderation is the key.

Pornography is something that should have never happen, but it did to that freedom call once again. If you are truly a true woman you would not exploit yourself that way. Yes some say its entertainment, but one should always remember that is someones daughter they are looking at and would you truly want you kid doing that, I'm almost certain the answer would be no. Plus its fake and truly unrealistic, it cause marriages to be disrupted because one feel a woman needs to for feel the fake displays, my total all over view of it is it's the devils work.

As an agnostic/atheist - I do not necessarily have any moral problems with 'pornographic' material itself, be it movies, videos, websites, songs, books, magazines, pics, or any other format where 'jectional' content might pop up. While it's hard to actually 'offend' me, I do have a problem with people who attempt to increase their market share, album sales, etc. with blatantly sexually explicit material simply for 'shock value'. Most of the time it just comes off as immature, stupid, and pointless. I don't see how it harms the lives of people who believe in God however - while the internet, tv, and radio have obviously made it more pervasive over the last few decades, it's not like there haven't been 'temptations' (including sex/lust) put in the face of theists since the beginning of time - just read the bible, it's chock full of it. Some people just live to be offended - I think it's a mental disorder.

This is my opinion, these are my feelings on the subject.
If you are a single adult and like to view pornography (adult, non violent) than it is your choice and can be enjoyable.
If you are part of a couple/marriage than the issue has many sides. The following is my opinion.
If either partner hides it, it is a problem. If one wishes not to view it than the other partner has to consider that and if they still wish to view it than it shouldn't be a secret.
If a couple wishes to watch it together it is their choice and can be enjoyable and sometimes spice things up. If one hides it, than it is a problem.
In my opinion there is nothing wrong with it if it is done honestly and the porn used is created/acted by consenting adults.

Pornography is simply another means of escaping the drudgery of everyday life. I don't see it being harmful - as long as it's consensual (between the actors), pornography serves to educate, break down social barriers and negative associations, and allow people to harmlessly explore a great variety of sexual situations they probably won't pursue in real life. It's entertainment, and anyone who tells you otherwise probably also believes that masturbation will make your teeth fall out if you dare attempt it before the age of 35.

Personally as a Catholic Christian, I strongly believe that pornography is the work of the devil. He wants us have lustful feelings. And I cannot allow that to happen to me or my nephew.

Perhaps more than anything else, Satan has succeeded in twisting and perverting sex. He has taken what is good and right (loving sex between a husband and wife) and replaced it with lust, pornography, adultery, rape, and homosexuality. Pornography can be the first step on a very slippery slope of ever-increasing wickedness and immorality (Romans 6:19). The addictive nature of pornography is well documented. Just as a drug user must consume greater and more powerful quantities of drugs to achieve the same “high,” pornography drags a person deeper and deeper into hard-core sexual addictions and ungodly desires.

Even though pornography, and even general pictures of naked ladies and such, are not mentioned in the Bible, personally for me, pornography flies like that clipped-wing plane, the Dodo, in Grand Theft Auto III. Sensual galleries on any individual website are about as rare as a 4 or even 5 leaf clover on any individual clover rhizome. The rest of pornography is nothing but that same, boring repetitive junk all the time. Touching of her breasts is nothing but pinching, pulling, and biting the nipples, crushing grabbing as if trying to pop them like latex balloons, and then it's that same repetitive in every gallery boom! boom! boom! boom! boom! boom! boom! boom! into her rear type of sex.

It is a wrong way to show how men interpret women. We don't jut think of women as sexual toy or just something to screw. So I truthfully don't like it.
