As you know, Joule (J) can also show up as a kilojoule (kJ)
1000 J = 1 kJ
Other units of HEAT (not on SI system) are:
-Calorie (cal)
1000 cal = 1 kcal
~~~~~Uncommon~~~~~~
British Thermal Unit (BTU)
1 BTU = 1055.06 J
Some people say SHU and CHU are units of Heat, but I'm not sure about it here~
Scoville Heat Unit (SHU)
Crop Heat Unit (CHU)
NOTE: FAHRENHEIT (F) AND CELSIUS (C) ARE NOT MEASUREMENTS OF HEAT!!!
They are a measurement of TEMPERATURE, which is the AVERAGE Kinetic Energy of a substance! (therefore dustin's answer about DEGREES being a measurement of HEAT is incorrect)
BEST TO STICK WITH JOULES AND CALORIES!
Okay, well the other two said kilojoules even though you specifically asked for units other than joules. How bout BTU's, or even degrees.
