Hey guys,

I piled on some freshman weight last year and I'm starting to get a little jiggly in the midsection. I don't think I'm "fat" though and have no plans of dieting. My waistline is 38"...how "big" would you consider that? Normal? A little flabby? Overweight? Obese?

Thanks for your input!

Use the jiggle factor as your guide to too much. I would probably say overweight but if you dont care, then nobody else should. As long as you are happy, who cares.

Depending on your body type I'd say just a bit overweight. I have always tried to stay between 34" & 36"...not always with success. A rule of thumb I use...if your belly entends more than your chest....loose that gut.

38" is WAY TOO MUCH. Get it down while you can. Women hate men with bellies. I read somewhere that best waist-chest ratio is 0.7. unless you have extremely broad shoulders and big chest 38 is almost obese.

all determines on what your proportions are. 38" isnt all that much if your over 6 foot

conversly if your only 5 ft 8 inches or so.. thats alot.

lmfao
Hips or waste? (LMFAO not at you at the guy who answered)
cause waste by your belly button would be a little fat, but if its your hips it could be you just have big hips.
