I have an ATM card (its not a debit card) and I was wondering if I could use it on the internet. It has a card number and expiration date so shouldnt I be able to use it online to buy stuff?
or do I have to go get a debit card to do that?

You probably can't buy anything online with it because it is only meant for the ATM machines....
It won't hurt to try though!

Just don't spend too much....lol

An ATM card is ONLY good at an ATM. The account number will read as invalid if used in place of a Debit or Credit card. When you are asked to enter the name AS IT APPEARS on the card, you will notice your name DOES NOT appear on the ATM card.

No you cannot use it for online. As long as it has a VISA symbol on it, then you can. But ATM cards are only to access your savings at the bank. believe me, they are worthless to an extent, but you will have to get a debit card for your purchases.
