How exciting!! Congratulations!! I could not wait to tell my husband, I told him over the phone. I now wish I would have been there to see his face so do not do it that way =) I would tell him over dinner. I am sure that if you are too excited he is going to know something is up so maybe have dinner ready when he gets home. Again, congratulations, I am so excited for you!

For my fiance, I bought a card that said "I Love You" on the front, and was blank on the inside, so I wrote him a little note (sorry its personal) but did not elude to being pregnant. Then, in a gift bag, I wrapped my positive pregnancy test and an "I Love My Daddy" bib.
Another idea is to cook dinner with baby back ribs, baby peas, baby carrots, baby new potatoes, etc. and see how long it takes him to figure out the message. (my fiance wouldn't have been smart enough to figure it out LOL)

How about making him a baby related meal - baby shrimp, baby corn, etc...it was on a Full House episode and I think it's a cute idea! It might take some explaining, but he'll eventually get it.
Congrats on the baby!!

Go to the store and baby a baby doll, wrap it in a blanket, and get a card that reads, congratulations DAD. Give it to him during a quit dinner.

Go to your local bakery and order a cake with a cupie doll on it that says "Congratulations Dad." Bring it out after dinner and just set it in front of him

Go to a small, cluttered room (that you arent using!) , and as he's coming through the door, start throwing stuff (THAT WONT BREAK!) out the door of the room, and if he asks what your doing, say in a rushed voice " We need to clear everything out of this room if we want to have someone occupy it!" If he asks what you mean, smile and tell him 'We're having a baby, -enter whatever you call him-!' Wait till you see the whites of his eyes. :)

Yeah I was going to suggest having baby food in the kitchen or something like that. I don't know, I'm a fan of the cute stuff too. :)
Congrats!

I like your idea. Go with it. Put a sign in the entry way where it's the first thing he sees when he comes home that says "Welcome Home, Daddy!" or some other cute expression.
