london, England have a differnet temperature than Moscow Russia when they are only seperated by 4 degrees of latitude?

Moscow is in the middle of a huge land mass with the ocean a long way away. London is on an island on the edge of a large ocean. Britain's temperatures are modified by the warmer ocean temperatures.

London's temperature is also specifically effected (via temperature moderation) by the Gulf Stream......
