A man should help wash the dishes, unless he is physically or mentally incapable of doing it. If you think about it, there's no rule saying women HAVE to wash dishes. We just do it because of the old fashioned "women stay at home to cook and clean" concept. It's the 21st century now...and men should definitely help with household chores. And many men today do wash dishes!

They like to be asked nicely to help with the dishes..not nagged at. Besides..who really wants to do the dishes.It's not exactly fun.
My husband would do the dishes everyday if I asked him to help but I don't because afterall...he works 10 to 12 hours a day at a hard job. I don't expect him to come home and wash dishes as well.

hey i take offense to that i wash dishes evry time i use them i wash my own and yes its true some men are lazy but that is because your letting them be lazy if you say to your boyfriend hey do the dishes if he says no then you kick him out of your house men can be just as responsible as women women just aren't strict enough

I think any man that has any real responsiblity about him, he will wash the dishes without being asked. I wash the dishes.

In my house, the men clean the dishes, AND take out the trash!

You obviously haven't been to my house, I am constantly washing dishes, utensils, cups and glasses, and putting them away, and I also do the cooking, all the house cleaning, laundry etc is my wifes domain.

My brother doesn't because he ....basically just doesn't!! hahah. He's lazy and his girl friend is the wifey type, so when they move out....she'll probably just do it all.
My boyfriend does the dishes all the time...however when we move out.....he'll probably change and i'll have to do them.
But not all men don't do the dishes.

Good question! lol. I'm still trying to figure that one out.
The dishes could pile up for three days before my guy would do them. I just can't wait that long, so I end up doing them, and all the other cleaning in the house. lol.
