Like the amount of money you donate depends on the amount of money you make:

Low - $5
Middle income - $25
High income - $100

And the thing is you would also be able to choose the charity you want to donate to! So ... what do you think?

If it did it would come out of taxes not "donations."

Plus, look at how many people are pissed off at having an idea of giving to charity.

No. Charity gifts must be given of free will and separate from the State.

We need to give when we can, and ask when we need help.

no. you should not have to be forced to give to the needy, it should come from the love in your heart towards others. I also don't see any reason why normal people should be made to give, when all these churches are spending thousands and thousands on making their churches bigger, and giving very little to the community.

They should not make someone give money.. I think we get enough with taxes. If you want to give extra it should be from the heart....

Absolutly not.

Charitable giving is a great thing because it is a gift from people who really care.

no cause then it wouldn't be donating! it'd be law..and you wouldn't get that warm feeling inside when you do do it cause it's not something that you do for feeling good, it'd be something you do for the sake of not getting fined..
