I just bought the new Nitro eero pro model snowboard and was wondering if it comes prewaxed. It probably does, because i think most snowboards do but i just want to make sure. Also, how can you tell? Or, even if it is prewaxed, should i wax it agian?

I have been told that boards come pre-waxed, but when I look at the base and try to scrape off some wax, I don't ever see any. I think that all new snowboards should be hot waxed to protect the base and keep snow from sticking and icing up.

Good Luck

Nitro boards and most other board companies put a generic wax on their boards. Its usualy good do wax and re-wax before first use and then wax at least once a week for the first month. It also depends on how often you ride. But it's always good to wax a new board frequently.

Most likely your new snowboard will not come pre-waxed if if open right away out of wrapping. But if you buy it from a store opened they will probably waxed it for you.
