Iam going out with a fantastic lady as i said she is 43 iam 52, people keep telling me they would take me for my early 40s the problem is my girlfreind looks as though she is in her early 20s and people look at me as though iam a dirty old man, Iam white from theUK , she is originaly from Kenya ,we have 4 children between us, all going to univercity i have been attacked spit at had obcene remarks shouted at us, you name we have had it said or done to us, She is a nurse in a cancer ward, and the one that spit at me had bad news, his mother was addmited to her ward i never heard any complaints about her being black when she was giving treatment to his mother or changing her bed when she soiled it, as they were short staffed, and she had to do it, part of the job as they sayanybody had to but up with this sort of thing, PS ,we are still very happy together, and will be for many years to come

You know, my girlfriend is from Malaysia. Neither of us is in the first flush of youth. Well, you've guessed, when we go out there's always some idiot who asks if she comes from Thailand or the Philippines. If she dresses a bit sexy the cheesey geezers go wild, convinced I've hooked up with some bar girl. As for English ladies, they just look down their noses at her. Well, she is size 8 so I guess a lot of them have issues there. Point is this country is full of prejudice and strereotyping. Ignore the idiots and enjoy your life in the sure knowledge most of them aren't enjoying theirs !!!

I'm lucky to live in a part of the UK that is free from open racism of this kind. If it becomes a problem, why not move to another area? The age thing is no problem, I know of a couple where the age difference was far greater and they had a marriage lasting 31 years. As long as you are both happy, forget what others might think, it's your life.

I am 65 and she is 49, we are happy and don't care if people think that is odd. Those that give you a hard time aren't worth the effort to worry about. If you love each other and are happy together; if age difference isn't a problem for you then be content in your love.

that's fantastic your happy together ...so don't knock it ..as to other stuff ..carers have hard time but sure deep down their truly appreciated when people are hurting and feel helpless they turn to nearest mark to vent hurt its not meant sure she knows this and is strong enough to ignore and cares ..been there ..be strong
