They are not fruit flies, They are of course drain flies, really!
OILS, will kill flies and any insect on contact. But in your home, after you pour the oil down the drain.....
MAKE SURE you have a kettle of boiling water to pour down the drain after to keep the oil from clogging the drain pipe.
