You can talk about visiting the movies and have bad experience with long lines cold popcorn and hot pop soda,
the guy with afro or hat in front of you, the cellular ringing in your side and the guy who talk to impress his girlfriend telling the whole story

I don't suggest pretending you are writing. If you would like to start seated in a chair that is fine, but you better make sure you use that chair in your piece some how. All movement should be motivated. Don't just walk around frantically. It will be distracting to the piece. The point of an audition is to be seen. If you are busy pacing around then your piece will become erratic and the people who you are presenting this to will loose interest.
I would suggest rolling all the individual letters into one big letter. Leave out all the dear Johns and make it one letter. If you present this piece as is then all the dear Johns are going to get annoying. Instead of thinking about writing a letter why don't you try envisioning that you are talking on the phone (although don't pretend to have the phone in your hand!
Good Luck.

Did you chose this? not such a good choice. Ok here is how it works. Each separate letter is the response to what he has given her. So just let the things he keeps giving you and how they continue to ruin your life, cause you to have stronger and more severe reactions.I think you should speak directly to the auditors as though they were the sender in your mind's eye.
You are going to have to follow this process: 1. You see the gift, you react and grab the pen and dash off the response, then you see another gift and react to it and grab the pen again and dash off the letter. You do not need to walk around a lot, but you could answer the door for the delivery man who delivers the next gift in between your letters. Walk over, look and react ot the gift, then rush to your desk and dash off the letter., repeat and repeat.

OK first, dont panic, second, never look the auditioners in the eye. nrver look at them in genral unless talking directly to them. Third, sitting and acting like your writing it would work as long as you show good exprtessions. try having a notebook as a prop(ONLY IF THEY ALLOW PROPS), and this allows you the freedom to walk around a little while you "write".. It also allows the ausitioners to see how you move. And finally, about the extra character, you can either just end the scene right before you get to there, it is a little long, or you can add a line to make it work, maybe something along the lines as "and my now my lawer had to write a letter saying, blah blah blah"
Break a leg!!!

Pretend your writing, but walk around and get frustrated!
I would just put a hat on and use an absurd english accent at the end... it is a great piece. Have fun!
