Explain: banquo committed the sin of ommission

What does this mean!?

As I remember Banquo doesn't really commit a sin of omission in the play...

I guess you could count the fact that he heard the prophecy and thinks that Macbeth might have had something to do with Duncans murder. But he has no evidence and he is just thinking to himself so I wouldn't count this

If however your teacher feels that this was a sin of omission I suppose it is but this is the only example in the play where I can think of this occuring.

To commit a sin of commission is to do something that you shouldn't do. To commit a sin of omission is to fail to do something that you should do. Do you feel that Banquo fails to do something that he ought to do?
