I don't think that people with eccentricities are hated I think that they are misunderstood which is different. People as a whole seem to find it difficult to know how to treat people who are different. I think that is one reason that people with disabilities are treated so differently than most other people. People don't understand things that are different and not like them selfs. They become fearful when someone is different that they will also become like them and since they don't understand it frightens them. People tend to be intimidated by things that they don't understand and which frightened them.

It's not eccentric personalities that make people hate someone. I have many eccentric friends and I love them to death. It's all in how you come across. Are you friendly, or do you act superior to everyone else? Like you're better than them because you "think for yourself"? Everyone has their own brain, they do think for themselves. It's how creative they are, how far outside the box their thoughts go. Some people may view you as just too "out there" for their taste. But even that isn't enough to make people hate you unless you're coming off as too into yourself. Like you think you're all that. I don't mean to accuse you if this isn't the case, I just want to point out what might be the trouble, because I have the same problem. It's the creative mind-- it makes us a little arrogant. As much as we'd like to deny it, we are *all* unique, which makes us all the same. So come down off the clouds for a while, just be excellent to someone else and make a friend. =]

Because living in a world that is orderly and static is safer than challenging the very fabric of the world around you. Living within comfort zones and limitations is much easier than discovering your true potential.

Accepting second-hand ideas instead of finding them for yourself, no matter what the cost, is less taxing than driving yourself, at the cost of friends and family, to the very limits of your ability and sanity.

Only a few are willing to make the sacrifice, but they shall inherit the kingdom of earth.

People always tend to be cautious of what they don't comprehend or fully understand. Many are just used to living their "cookie cutter" lives & being around the same as them. When approach by a "free thinker" they either are drawn to their ideas or shy away. Usually depending on their inner thoughts on the spoken topic. Truely there isn't anything wrong with being a free thinker, you just have to have the backbone to tolerate the "cookies."
