I've always wanted to go to MIT or any of the Ivy League colleges.I really want to study there but I'm not sure of exactly what course to do, I'm only 13 years old so I have about 5 years till graduation.I'd like to know what I can do in the next 5 years so I can prepare myself. What I should focus on, any extra curricular activities, etc. Till now my grades have been A's and B's.
It would be nice if those who have gone to these colleges might share their experience.
Thanks!

For any top school, focusing on advanced science and math is always good (along with excellent writing skills). Do not overdo the extracurricular--a few well-chosen activities based on your interests are better than a litany of activities that might look good on a college application. It's important to show: leadership (through extracurricular), intellectual curiosity (never taking the easy way out), and interest in the world (volunteerism, etc.). Of course, good grades! Take math (through calculus if you have at your school) and science (at least three lab courses) plus literature and even physics. You'll need about 5 AP courses to be competitive.

At the same time, don't freak out and become anxiety-driven. There are always good schools everywhere! You need to have fun as well!
