I guess that believers in any of the mentioned claim some evidence to back up their beliefs in them.
Just wonder which has the largest body of legitimate scientific evidence to back it up.
For example the glowing orbs seen in some photos and videos could possibly be evidence for fairies?
So according to the evidence, which of the mentioned is most likely. Or do you believe some or all exist, and what do you use as the basis to justify the belief?

All five of these have been hoaxed at some point in the past, but ghosts have the most "hard" evidence, followed by bigfoot. The trouble with ghost evidence is that people will always dispute photographs. It doesn't seem likely that anyone will be able to "capture" a ghost. Bigfoot was strongly dismissed by many biologists, so the scientists who did/do explore the possibility of a large bipedal primate in North America were ostracized and ridiculed. Many anomalous hair samples have been recovered from areas where bigfoot sightings are more frequent. These hairs have not corresponded to any known animal under DNA testing. Also, footprints with actual dermal ridges have been found--so its not just the old grainy photos that it used to be.

Their are always new species being discovered, so whose to say that bigfoot, the lochness monster, or chupacabras don't exist. I don't think it's fair to say that they would have been discovered or extinct by now, I mean, who really knows what the lifespan of the lochness monster is. It could live for 100's or 1000's of years, who knows.

As for the other stuff, I read a lot of fantasy novels, and I like to believe that the characters and the worlds they live in are real. I believe in fairies, ghosts, dragons, monsters, and magic (not the hocus-pocus stuff magicians do, but real magic). I don't think that they're all here on this earth with us, but maybe, in worlds/realms/dimensions all their own.

I lived in a house in England where there were things happening daily, l heard footsteps on the stairs every night, we had a dog that would stand by the kitchen door and her fur would stand on end all along her back, she would growl at seemingly nothing, but you always had the feeling someone was watching you, doors would either open slowly or slam against the wall by themselves, many odd things happened in the years l lived there. The house l live in now also has sounds which should not be there, l often hear some one walking across the bed room floor when l am in the room below, these sounds have been heard by many.
But to all the folk who say these things do not exist, l would have said the same as well, had l not been through it myself with family members and friends. So don't fool yourselves, there are more things we do not understand on this earth, as for me, l know spirits, ghosts what ever you want to call them exist.
As for fairies, chupacabras whatever, l cannot say, but l do not dismiss them, many folk have seen things which cannot be explained
So folks, keep an open mind, after all, no one alive on earth have seen God, but millons believe he exists, as do l, can millons be wrong ???? l don't think so

Well orbs are actually suppose to be spirits not a fairy, watch Ghost Hunters on Scifi channel, but there is a sight I found one day just messing around called CRYPTOMUNDO.COM, that has great info on Big Foot and the Chupacabra, Loch Ness and all that good stuff. It's all about keeping an open mind, really if your out camping and you swear you saw Big Foot, what would you really do? and who would you tell? I happen to believe in the people who say they have seen these things, I have no idea who they are, but I am not one to judge what this person saw, and I don't know their true character, what does this person have to gain? nothing absolutely nothing, but bad publicity from close minded people who can't put themselves in their shoes, so I do believe in the people who say the saw something, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!

There is plenty of evidence for and against the alleged phenomenons. I will admit that it seems odd that in an age where we have satellites that can give us the image of a license plate from space that we lack any real photos with true clarity. It is my theory, being a student of various theology and mythology (sometimes one in the same), that these myths stem from something true then exaggerated. For instance, werewolves can be traced back to a colony of wild men in an island region near France. Who is to say that the myth of the chupacabra did not in fact stem from a mutated version of something fairly well known and common like a wild dog. A hairy upright simian creature is not too far fetched and may have happened as an abnormality. That a sea creature larger than the average marine life has sustained itself in a loch...hmmm, that one gives me pause. Fairies are most likey the creation of minds needing to give things explanation. There is a tribe in South America that still blames everything on witches. You try and talk reason with them and they will say if you can't disprove it, then it must be true....the argument on the other side will claim the same. The absence of evidence neither proves nor disproves a claim. It's a problem. The only one that I can even comment on are ghosts. I have seen ghosts on more than one occassion and truly my life would have been just fine having never seen one. They freak the heck out of me! So I guess the basis for that one and only certifiable belief is personal experience. I, however, never believe something because I "feel" it is true. Feeling something is true is more like hoping something is true and it is what most people used to justify their belief systems.

For years 'science' claimed Giant Squids didn't exist, but lo and behold, they've been found. So the idea that things can't hide from mankind is arrogance of the highest caliber. UFO's, Bigfoot and Chupacabra's have all been photographed, as have ghosts. As were giant squids before 'science' verified their existence.

Just because it doesn't have the 'science seal of approval' doesn't make something non-existent. Again this is simply arrogance. And frankly I think James Randi (Who someone cited as their source here.) is a grade-a douchebag, a liar, a charlatan and just a mean old man who has nothing better to do with his pathetic life than try to debunk things that big-daddy science has yet to approve of.

Science is a tool for seeking knowledge. Not a religion.

As for my personal view, I honestly don't think faeries exist, as for the other phenomena mentioned, I'm open to the possibility.

The Big foot as its called today is a very old legend of the native tribes of North America. I don't like to rule out the beliefs of the Ancient Ones. The other creatures you speak of are not known to me. Maybe this abominable snowman is just a Sasquatch from another part of the world. Many did not believe the native people of Africa when they spoke of Gorillas but it was discovered by the white man to be true. So is that the way it is? It's only true if white people see it? I hope no whites ever find the Sasquatch. They want to be left alone in peace. I hope they can.

No legitimate science can back up claims of paranormal fanboys.

Some believed that the tsunami in Dec. of '04 was sent by God to punish heathens. Rational people believe it was caused by an earthquake under the ocean.

Technology has progressed to the point that grainy out of focus pictures of monsters in Loch Ness or bigfoot are not acceptable and are suspect by nature.

People have faith in what they want to have faith in and cannot be deterred by evidence to the contrary, and are often bolstered by "evidence" which is easily explainable.

Basically, I believe that many things could be real. You can talk to someone who believes in fairies and they'd say that fairies are real. Get it? So it just depends how you look at it. Do you believe the evidence? If you do, you have your answer. Personally I think the one with the largest scientific evidence is vampires because my friend has very sharp canines and threatens to bite me (lol).....but you didn't ask about vampires. Hope you all spend a nice milisecond thinking about what mythical or supposed creature you believe in. Have a nice day!
