Here is an easy way to determine LCM

Factor each term completely:

6 = 2 * 3
14 = 2 * 7

Now we need to find a set of numbers that includes all the factors of each number (that is, any factors that are common can be reduced to a single factor... just be sure to keep multiples!):

2 * 3 * 7 (this includes 2*3 and 2*7)

2*3*7 = 42, our LCM!

~~~~~~~~~~~
9 = 3*3
12 = 2*2*3
LCM = 2*2*3*3 = 36 (notice we need 2 2's and 2 3's here!)
~~~~~~~~~~~

6 = 2*3
15 = 3*5

LCM = 2*3*5 = 30

~~~~~~~~~~~~
3 = 3
5 = 5
6 = 2*3
LCM = 2*3*5 = 30
Hope this helps! :)
ignore the offensive comments, or just reverse them.
you need some help here. a simple method is to write each number in terms of its prime factors. then list the highest powers of the prime factors from both numbers, multiply together and there is your answer. e.g.
6 = 3*2, 14 = 2*7, lcm = 2*3*7 = 42.
9 = 3*3, 12 = 2*2*3 lcm = 2*2*3*3 = 36
3 =3, 5 =5, 6 = 2*3, lcm = 2*3*5 = 30.
I will let you work out 6 *15 so that you can check you understand it.
just look at the smallest number and starting with the highest...think about its factors... so for the first one 6, which will not go into 14, next you have 3, which will not work, then try 2 which WILL work, so 2 is the GCF...sorry just edited this i read it wrong...if you need to know the greatest common factor though here you go:-)
