How about Lynn? I provide child care in my home and one of the daycare dad's name is Lynn. It's not short for anything, it's just Lynn. He's quite good looking and not at all feminine, but his name throws plenty of people off when they meet him. It's a welsh derived name meaning Lake. Another male/female name is Laverne. I know both a male Laverne and a female Laverne. The male generally goes by Verne, though.
